The Heath Business and Technical Park is owned and operated by Site Operations Group (SOG Ltd), formerly a division of ICI which managed the company's headquarters at The Heath in Cheshire.

When ICI announced its intention to close The Heath, managers formed a limited company and linked up with Liverpool businessman John Lewis, now Managing Director, to create a business plan to purchase the 50 acre site from ICI.

In 2000, SOG Ltd became the owner and manager of The Heath and set about its remarkable journey, transforming the ex-corporate headquarters site into a highly successful multi-occupancy business and science park.

Remarkably the entire regeneration process has been achieved without public funding which over the past 10 years has been praised and recognised by a variety of government bodies, including the Prime Minister, science ministers and royalty who all saw The Heath as a template for regeneration that could be adapted around the country.
