Cal Sameday announced as main sponsors for Super League club Leigh Centurions

Nationwide same day courier service and Heath Resident Cal Sameday are the main sponsors for Super League club Leigh Centurions. The deal was announced on November 5th, and will mean that the Cheshire-based courier will be the main shirt sponsor of the club’s new home kit.

Mark Johnson, Managing Director of Cal Sameday said: “As a lifelong fan of the Leigh Centurions I am delighted to be able to support the club in this way. We are immensely proud to be sponsoring Leigh Centurions as they begin their adventures back into the Betfred Super League.”

Founded in 1878, Leigh Centurions is one of the original 22 clubs that formed the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895. Under it’s initial name ‘Leigh’, the club were crowned champions of the Rugby League in 1906 and 1982, and won the Challenge Cup in 1921 and 1971.

Mr Johnson added: “We look forward to a bright future with Leigh Centurions, and hope that as they move back into the big league they can win more trophies to go alongside their previous successes. With many of next seasons home games being aired on Sky Sports, including their match against Super League giants Leeds Rhinos on February 17, we are over the moon that our partnership will deliver brand awareness of our courier company to a new audience. The deal will complement our business growth strategy, which includes a new brand identity and a new website as we look to roll out our business to more locations across the UK.”

Cal Sameday was created in 2011 with a determination to stand out in a crowded courier market, and aim to deliver a dependable and personal service to their customers. The official kit is due to be unveiled at a special event in early December, giving supporters the ability to order their new kits in time for Christmas.
