Scouts help create festive magic for Halton Haven Hospice

Members of 6th Runcorn Scout Group put their artistic skills to stunning use as The Heath Business and Technical Park prepared to provide some Christmas sparkle for Halton Haven Hospice.

The Scouts created a host of themed decorations after SOG Ltd, the owner and manager of The Heath, sponsored one of the exhibits at a Christmas tree festival staged this weekend at St John the Evangelist’s Church in Weston.

But when the exhibits are removed on Monday (December 8), SOG’s sponsored tree is to be moved to a new home – for residents at Halton Haven Hospice, on Barnfield Avenue, Murdishaw, Runcorn.

SOG Ltd Sales and Marketing Manager Lesley Lunt said: “We were absolutely thrilled to join forces with 6th Runcorn Scout Group in providing a tree to St John’s festival. The scouts worked really hard to create a series of special decorations on the theme of The Heath. It meant that, as well as traditional stars and tinsel, we’ve got decorations showing pictures of the business park, including its conference centre, reception and gardens.”

Lesley added: “We really hope the tree helps add even more sparkle to the Christmas activities being planned at Halton Haven Hospice.”
