Success for Heath-based firms at Halton Business Awards 2017

Companies located at The Heath Business and Technical Park have been recognised for excellent performance in the Halton Business Awards 2017, organised by Halton Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise.

Two businesses won awards outright while three more finalists included The Heath’s own Conference Centre Team of Tracy Whitlow, Joanne Burns and Claire Henry (pictured left) who were shortlisted in the ‘Excellent Customer Service Award’ category. The trio have worked at the location in Runcorn for a combined total of 65 years.

Digital marketing specialists Aqueous Digital scooped the award for ‘Marketing Excellence’ and were runners-up in the ‘Apprentice/Young Achiever of the Year Award’ which was won by Stacey Hammond of Arvia Technology, another Heath-based operation.

Aqueous Digital was launched by Managing Director Jonathan Guy with another associate in 2011 and has been based at The Heath since the company’s inception. By next month it will be employing a total of nine staff. Arvia Technology, specialists in making waste water safe to reuse or discharge, has been located at The Heath for the past two years where it employs 29 staff.

Catherine Lockett, Managing Director and HR Consultant, from a third Heath-based company Clearlink HR, was also shortlisted in the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year Award’.

Lesley Lunt, Sales and Marketing Manager of SOG, owner and operator of The Heath Business and Technical Park, said: “We are delighted so many of our resident business have been recognised in this year’s Halton Business Awards, and it was especially nice to see our own Conference Centre Team shortlisted too.  Tracy, Joanne and Claire are in the shop window of our business and engage with and assist all the scores of companies which are located on The Heath. They are the first faces visitors see when they arrive at The Heath’s Conference Centre Reception and are renowned for their friendly, professional and courteous service.”

The awards were staged on Friday, May 12, at the Select Security Stadium Widnes and attended by around 300 guests from the local business community.
