The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) at Daresbury Laboratory celebrate 20 years of bringing inspirational science talks to the general public, with their new ‘Talking Science’ lecture programme!

With a multitude of residents from the science sector inhabiting lab spaces at The Heath and whilst offering specialist scientific support provided by SOG Ltd to our clients, The Heath are proud to be kicking off this year’s Talking Science public lecture programme and look forward to welcoming Daresbury Laboratory for the first time on 19th September at 7pm.

This years Talking Science lecture programme is jam-packed with a variety of lectures planned for anyone interested in the science and research that’s happening around us now, with the programme hosting events across Liverpool, Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn.

On the day, Prof. Anthony Ryan will be talking about how scientists have currently been working with refugees from the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan to co-create solutions to the daily struggles living in camps.

Wendy Cotterill, Senior Public Engagement Officer at STFC’s Daresbury Laboratory will also be taking about the Talking Science programme and the lectures presented over the upcoming months.
