Business Development Administrator

This is a new role within a small team for a privately-owned UK manufacturer of dehydrated ingredients, supplying food manufacturers, distributors and re-packers on a global basis.

The job is a supporting role to the company’s sales force, the primary function will involve calling potential customers to obtain details about their purchasing function; and establishing the initial contact with their purchasing and new product development team.

Maintenance of a sales contact database will be a crucial part of the roles function, along with the sending out of promotional information.

Communicating with customers, via telephone and email; passing requests for information to the relevant department and following up on any required actions ensuring that customer is satisfied with the response. Expected to establish a good rapport with customer contacts.

Key attributes:

A good communicator, with a focus on customer relations.

Well versed in IT Skills

Good organisational skills, with an eye for detail

Salary:   GBP £17,000 per annum

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays

Hours: 9-5 Monday-Friday

Career level required:  Experienced in sales calls (Non-Manager)

Education required: GCSE / Scottish or equivalent
